Asphalt and crushed limestone dedicated rail trail. Flat terrain, smooth surface, all types of bikes. Distance 25 to 55 miles getting progressively longer through the season. There will be at least one rest stop on each ride. The route has a number of small towns with bakeries and ice cream spots. There are also a few shaded picnic tables along the trail.

This ride will start and end at Moonwinks in Dixboro. We will check out the new Moonwinks Tavern after the ride for a bite to eat and drink. They are open until 9 PM.
The ride will be on all paved paths and roads. It will be about 19 miles.
A tail light and some sort of rear view mirror is always a good idea. Helmets are mandatory.
Approximate pace is 10-12 mph, but slower or faster riders are welcome and we will regroup at various points.

Directions: From M-14 W, take Exit 2, then second exit from traffic circle to go to Miller Road. Turn right (NW) on Miller. Travel 0.7 miles, cross Wagner, go 0.2 miles to driveway on left. 3663 Miller Rd. is the first house on the left inside the driveway. Park on grass on south side of Miller or near tennis court. Please keep the main driveway clear.

Ride starts Aberdeen at 6:00 p.m. 25-35 miles. Average speed 14-16 mph. Ride goes every Thursday evening.Ride will regroup a few times. Barton Nature Area Parking Lot
Ride Friday morning to Dexter and Hudson Mill Metro Park. Pack a lunch or stop in Dexter for coffee or Breakfast. C, B, and A riders welcome. Distances up to riders, most common is Barton Park to Hudson Mills with 2-loops for 33 miles. Others may start at Dexter Metro Park and join the main group about 30 minutes after Barton Park start time. This option shortens the 2-loop ride to 20 miles.

Gravel road ride (approximately 18 miles) leaving from Clague Middle School, with a rest stop at St. John‘s Evangelical Lutheran Church (about 10 miles from start).
Ride Saturday morning to Dexter (16 mi. RT) or Chelsea (32 mi. RT). Stop at Zous Zous in Chelsea for coffee and or snack. B, C riders and A riders welcome. Distances up to riders, most common is Barton Park to Chelsea , but riders may extend to what they want. Options include around Cavanuagh Lake (+10 mi) or trail north from Chelseas to North Territorial Road (+ 10 mi.) or loop to Waterloo and back on Rt. 52 or trail to Chelsea (+18). Alternative start is Wheller Park in Ann Arbor on your own with meet up at Barton Pond parking lot start. Check calender day of ride if raining for cancellation or delayed start. Gravel ride from Old St. Patrick Church to Independence Lake and back. Various available return routes, allowing ride to be from 22 to 24 miles. Start time will change to 9am in May.
Hamburg trailhead parking lot across from Hamburg Pub
Asphalt and crushed limestone dedicated rail trail. Flat terrain, smooth surface, all types of bikes. Distance 25 to 55 miles getting progressively longer through the season. There will be at least one rest stop on each ride. The route has a number of small towns with bakeries and ice cream spots. There are also a few shaded picnic tables along the trail.
Aberdeen Bike and Outdoors
Ride the less-traveled roads West and North of Chelsea. Ride lengths vary from 20 miles early in the season up to 30+ mid-season. Depending on the number of riders, the attendees may make several stops during the ride to regroup or may divide into smaller groups of varying speeds. Many in the group meet in Chelsea area restaurants after for some dinner and socializing. Start Location occasionally changes so check the calendar for any updates.
Aberdeen Bike and Outdoors
Tuesday Dirt Ride. Rollout is at 6:15pm from the parking lot of Aberdeen Bike. Distance varies from 20 to 35 miles. The ride goes year round and is dependent on the weather conditions. Lights are mandatory for fall, winter and spring rides. Routes vary each week and the group will wait for those that are having a bad day.

Ride under I-96 to Island Lake and back to Kensington and around the west side of Kent Lake; optional ride to Milford for lunch at Americus Coney; then head back south around the east side of Kent Lake to the start for 30 miles; shortcut options.
