B2B Trail Update -
Chelsea-Stockbridge Corridor Consumers Energy contractors have started clearing trees for the 55-mile Mid Michigan Pipeline Project within the right-of-way through Pinckney State Park. Currently, contractors are working on the east side of M-52 just south of the American Cell Tower. Later this spring, east of the M52 pedestrian tunnel, the Border to Border Trail will be temporarily rerouted due to the pipeline installation work. The temporary concrete pathway will be in place through late fall, when contractors will restore the trail to its current alignment. Consumers Power is funding this project, as well as some restorative landscaping. In the upcoming days, we expect that informational signs will be installed at each road crossing and the bike path crossings. Updates will be provided as they are received.
