AABTS Annual Mileage Patches
and Lifetime Mileage Awards for 2020
AABTS members who ride more than 500 miles in a year earn a personalized annual mileage patch. The 2020 mileage patch was designed by club member Alex Wagner. In 2020, 146 AABTS members earned a personalized annual mileage patch.
AABTS also tracks members lifetime mileage. Members receive a lifetime mileage award patch for every 5,000 miles up to 50,000 miles, then a lapel pin for every 5,000 miles from 55,000 to 150,000 miles. Starting at 160,000, a pint glass award is given every 10,000 miles up to 210,000 miles. Starting at 220,000 miles a certificate is given every 10,000 miles. This year, John Finnegan will receive the first AABTS certificate. In 2020, 68 lifetime mileage awards were earned by club members.
Usually, mileage awards are distributed at the AABTS Spring Potluck or at club rides. However, this year we will be carrying the awards on our bikes to popular local riding locations. Look for us over the next several weeks. We will also post AABTS quick events for patch pick-up on the AABTS club calendar at AABTS.org. In June, we will mail the AABTS remaining mileage patches and awards to club members.
Since pins are more difficult to mail, we intend to hand-deliver these awards to the recipients. If you prefer to pick up your patches or awards, please contact us.
