Island Lake Rd and Dexter Main St Corridor Improvements (Webster & Scio Twps)
Project Update #6

- Anticipated open to traffic of the intersections by August 28th (Same Day as the opening of the Dexter Cider Mill!)
The contractor working on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has constructed concrete pavement through the viaduct and completed asphalt paving through the remaining portion of Island Lake Road between Dexter-Chelsea Road and Dexter-Pinckney Road. New concrete curb, sidewalk ramps, and traffic signal work continue in the City of Dexter.
Looking ahead:
- Week of August 17th: sign installation, pavement markings
- Week of August 24th: sidewalk ramps, traffic signals, pedestrian signals, restoration
- Anticipated open to traffic of the intersections by August 28th
